Hello. I’m Cindy from Dalian, China. I want to know whether film tickets are very expensive in the UK, and how often British people go to the cinema. Thank you.

Do you enjoy going to the cinema?

Most of you would say yes, but how much are you willing to spend on a ticket?

In this programme, we discover that going to the cinema in the UK is not cheap: tickets often cost around £10 (100 yuan).

Yet statistics show that box office profits went up over 10% in 2009.

In China profits went up even more, some surveys say they increased by 40%.
