培养学生学以致用的能力 而不仅仅是考试的能力

5 what characters and strength do u think International school students have international students at our American primary and Middles School Programs have the benefits of learning in a more diversified style. They learn to understand different cultures and peoples more, and have a broader experience at school which opens them up to a much larger world when they are adults. International students have more experiences and exposures which can open them up to hobbies and interests they might not have had the exposure to before and allow them to pursue these things in their own time. Our school’s programs give children the freedom to learn to love learning. And the ability to use what they are learning for more than just tests.

入读我校小学国际班与中学国际班的学生将享有更多样化的学习风格。他们要学着去了解不同的文化与不同的民族,学校丰富的学习经历将会使他们在成年后有更广阔的眼界。国际班学生将会有更多机会参与到各种各样的社会实践中,使他们拓宽思路,在课余时间发展自己的兴趣爱好。我们的国际项目为学生提供更自由的学习空间,让他们热爱学习,培养他们学以致用的能力而不仅仅是考试的能力。

Family education is the core of children growth, how should parents help the kids have internationalized view and thinking.

Parents are at the center of a child’s education, and there are many ways to help children have a more internationalized view and thinking. One key part of internationalization both parents and children need to accept before they can completely enjoy an internationalized view is that International means the world working together, it means cooperating and learning to understand how other peoples and cultures think, which is what we are promoting in our APS and AMS programs. Internationalization does not mean that any 1 culture is wrong, just different. Learning to work together and enjoy the diversity of the world is the purpose of internationalization.

家长处于孩子教育的核心位置,有多种方法可以帮助孩子培养更具国际化的视野和思维。这其中一个关键点是家长及学生必须首先意识到国际化意味着世界范围的共同合作,意味着了解其他的民族及文化背景,这也是我们小学国际班与中学国际班所提倡的。国际化并不代表否定任何一个文化,其宗旨是学会共同协作,享受世界的多元化.

To do this families can go to places together to learn as a family unit. They can find stories and activities from around the world to try or learn more about together, whatever it is they decide to do, the important thing is that they do it together as a family. And just because you’re learning about other cultures does not mean you have to abandon your own. Show your children that you are proud of them, and what they learn and help explain things that they ask about, learning about the world and “internationalized” views is about endorsing curiosity, not squashing it.

Our APS encourages parental views and assistance by having monthly PTA or Patent Teacher Association meetings. At these meetings parents can learn about activities that they can do at home with their kids, they can also suggest cultural events and traditions that they would like to see the class involved in.

我们的美国小学班鼓励家长们提供意见及帮助,将于每月举行家长联合会。会议上家长们将了解到可以在家里与孩子一起进行的活动,也可以针对文化活动或传统活动提出一些自己的意见。

Now that you have seen both Chinese and Foreign classroom styles, what do you think is the benefit of a foreign classroom?

“Other than Class size, foreign classes are a lot more hands on. 90% of people are tactile learners, this means that they learn by doing rather than reading, and that's what foreign classes focus more on.”

除了班级规模之外,国外班级有更多的动手机会。90%的人是触觉型学习者,这意味着他们更多地通过实践而不是阅读来学习,而实践也是我们国外课程更加着重关注的点。
