Q9 本题和上述Q7类似，属于多细节考查，和上题不同的是本题考查的是对比，所以必须听到所有的细节；女人的描述中出现的词sociable(好交际的)，talkative(健谈的)及active(积极的)意思相近；而本题的考点在but之后关于Helen的描述，the opposite表示相反，故应该选择Helen is quiet；还可以根据相同必错的原则首先将含有sociable和active的选项排除。
Q10 本题考查的是言外之意，对话部分相对而言较为简单，可以通过听到yet后面的部分做题，从对话中可以看出Jimmy显然是个大话王，言辞夸张而不可信，故选择Jimmy’s words are often not reliable.。

Q11本文是主旨题，讲述了kudzu这种植物对美国南方造成的危害，本文是通过正反两方面对kudzu的特性进行描述的，听力的关键是”Kudzu was once thought to be a helpful plant”，题干中唯一从正反两方面讲述kudzu的就是”It has done more harm than good in the southern USA.”。

Q14 本题是原文复现的考题，考察的是university一词在中世纪的含义；解题关键在于信息记录，当听到和题干相同的原文时将前面的修饰语记录下，比如在”the university as a whole”选项之前写Latin，在”a society of legal professionals”之前写Latin legal，在”an association of teachers and scholars”之前写middle ages，本题恰恰考察的是middle ages的情况；
Q15 本题和Q16相同，都是典型论据的考查，预读过程中，通过诸如”take over”，”the largest expansion”，”combine to”可以读出的信息是本题和大学的扩展壮大有关，所以听力重点应该和上述词相关，因此从Q14之后相当部分的原文可以不用听，一直到”It was in the 1960s that the largest expansion of higher education took place in Britain.”就可以解题了；而且本题考查的是典型论据，凡是在议论文中听到以诸如first，main，chief，major，above all以及表示最高级的短语开头的句子都是我们听力的重点，04年1月Passage3关于扒手的文章就是最好的例证，4道题目中后3题都是典型论据的考查；
Q16 本题和上题属相同类型，解题点在”The first and the largest source is grants from the government.”，同样出现了典型论据的提示词the first。
Q17 本文讲述了Heifer International组织从如何创立到其如何帮助发展中国家的农民；本题的解题点在”An American farmer, Dan West, developed the idea for Heifer International in the 1930s.”， 考查Heifer International组织的创立人，heifer意思是小母牛。
Q18 本题考查的是Heifer International的宗旨，在原文中间处：”They must also make a plan which will allow them to become self-supporting.”
Q19 本题在做预读时可以得到的信息是they指代families，而且是得到帮助的家庭，故我们听力的重点是以families作主语的句子，本题考查言外之意，从原文中”Heifer International also believes that families must pass on some of their success to others in need.…Every family that receives a Heifer animal must agree to give that animal’s first female baby to other people in need . Q20 本题考查Heifer International取得的成就，在文章最后一句”This concept helps communities become self-supporting.”，跟本文开头的”One of the biggest problems in developing countries is hunger.”联系起来，不难看出，应该选择”It has helped relieve hunger in some developing countries.”。
