TOEFL registration is handled by individual test centers except for Beijing where the Beijing Foreign Studies Universities serves as the registration center on behalf of CIECB to provide registration service for 14 TOEFL test centers in Beijing.

To register and take TOEFL in Beijing, a candidate holding Chinese Identity Card must visit the Beijing area TOEFL registration reservation website: http://www.bj262toefl.com.cn to make reservations and then pay test fees at any Bank of Beijing offices. A detailed procedure is provided on this website in Chinese only. Because this system requires Chinese Identity Card number for processing and could not accept passport numbers, candidates who are not Chinese nationals wishing to register and take TOEFL/TSE in Beijing must contact and come to register in person at the Beijing Foreign Studies Universities (English service is available) at No. 19, North Road of West 3^rd Ring Road1, West Campus of Beijing Foreign Studies University. tel: 010-88816130. Their office hour is 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. 

 

Please bear in mind that test center capacity fills up fairly fast, make your plans as early as possible.

 

TOEFL and TSE test fees are RMB1162 and RMB 1038 respectively.

TOEFL in the People’s Republic of China is still administered in paper and pencil format.
